I was at an expo today looking for a female Fatty for my male, Pax. Well, I found one, but she's definitely under weight. I got her at a deal because the lady had no idea what she was working with. She's albino, with only barely visible banding and a stripe. Any suggestions on fattening her up? Should I just keep crickets available at all times?

Also, do they require specific atmospheres to breed? I'm keeping them separated for now, but I'd like to house them together at some point. Any suggestions are welcome.

The gecko may be underweight because she wasn't kept properly or because she's ill. Your best bet is to make sure you have her housed properly, in a separate place from the male, as you've done, and to feed her whatever she'll eat. Some of my fatties go on brief hunger strikes and if they're not coming out of it on their own, I'll hold the one not eating and gently press a cricket to the mouth. It usually gets them going on their own in a day or too. I have found that the amels tend to lose a lot of their orange as they age.

Well, there was obviously something wrong with the feeding situation where she came from, because she's eating any and everything for me. I even got her to take a few meal worms, she takes hand feeding so well. She's very active and friendly. I think I just got a great deal all around. Now I'm really looking forward to introducing her to my male

She is such a light Albino too, and he's a Het. Albino standard banded, so with any luck I'll be getting me some Albino babies
