Legos in gecko enclosure

Anyone ever put legos in their geckos enclosure? My son and I were thinking of building a a stairway or hut of somesort. Of course there would be leaves and vines, etc. I don't think the blocks are toxic and they would be easy to clean. Good idea or not?

I don't see why not... As long as they are clean when you put them in and don't have any sharp points on them. I've never tried it! If you do, post some pictures for us! Sounds like a great idea.

I guess depending on what you are housing and the humidity level, mold/fungus could be an issue inside the blocks (or not) and how sharp the edges are on your build and the species going in.

I would make sure any structure is very sound. As long as one good long leap onto the piece wouldn't break it, I don't see why it would be a problem.

I would file down the corners though.

I have seen several different lego enclosures. I'm sure if you googled it, you could see some and get some inspiration!!! There is no need to file down any edges, they are not sharp enough to hurt a gecko. Also if you came up with a design you wanted to keep you could always glue it together for any stability issues. Good luck and definately post some pics when you are done!!
