Phelsuma vocalization

Has anyone heard any vocalization from their Phelsuma?

I've got a proven pair of P. m grandis and I've heard some noise coming from my gecko cages who I could not pin point. I added a large horizontal piece of bamboo to their enclosure tonight and the male started to make his "turkey call" at the female when she crawled on top of the bamboo. Infact they're still making noise, lol. I thought it was pretty interesting. They're a lot more intelligent then people believe.

What do you think they're communicating about? Territory? They started vocalizing within seconds of the bamboo being placed in the enclosure so I doubt it. Breeding? Both geckos are making the noise. The female also will shake her body and move slowly down the log tasting it.

I have heard my female Phelsuma vocalize more often than the males, especially when they want to be left alone or are near laying. I have heard them make calls in response to my activity as well.

My P pasteuri squeak at each other most often when they are not sharing the repashy and both are on the same piece of bamboo. Other than that sometimes when the male is approaching the female and she is not interested.

I've heard my grandis pair make noise just once when I just turned out the lights. Just the one time though, definitely sounded like chickens.

My Grandis both make noises when I'm feeding them and try to take away their meal before they're done with it. It reminds me of a baby bird.

My female P. standingi started chirping quite a bit when my dog walked into the room earlier today- guess she was sounding the alarm.
