Are These Good Books??

Hey Guys, Wondering if these are good books to have in the collection for leaf tailed gecko information???

Wanting to do research and reading up before taking on these geckos.

I've ordered the last title here and i've found this other book as well, The one listed first... Let me know!

I can recommend the last two. The first one is nice to have, but to my point of view not really interesting to use for captive breeding of uroplatus species.

Thanks Jody, i've ordered the last title, As lots of people called it the " Uroplatus bible" it might be out of date, but heard it was good if i was going to get into breeding them.

Let's be careful to define what we mean by "out of date". There have been updates on the status of certain species- Sikorae and Sameiti have been separated, peitschmanni have been named, so have Finiavana. Also, the distribution ranges are not correct.

However, from a keeping and breeding standpoint, the Uroplatus Bible is just as relevant as ever.

One more note- there are several mis-translations in it, so you have to read critically. I think whoever translated it from German didn't proof read it.

Just start reading threads in the Uroplatus section, or once you find a certain keeper that posts a lot you can look at the threads that they've posted and perhaps learn that way.

Thanks, And yes i use both these forums listed for that reason, i've been looking and reading/researching for years now, I just always find myself second guessing myself when it comes to buying them.

I'm going to set up a tank first and go from there, along with some more reading up on them.
