I've had quite a few posts recently over in the Crested Gecko section but I have never properly introduced myself on here. I'm completely knew to any kind of reptile/gecko. Two weeks ago I didn't even know there was such a thing as a crested gecko! I'm here to learn and absorb knowledge for Crested Geckos incase one day I decide to get one(which I am seriously considering). The more knowledge I have the happier my crestie will be is how I look at it. Anyways, my name Tynan is pronounced like "Thai-Nin" incase anybody was wondering. People pronounce it wrong all the time, lol.
Thanks for reading!:D

Welcome to GU! There are lots of crested keepers on here that should be able to help you out when you start to get your new friend's home ready! ;) Glad to see you're starting with research! It's the most important step and the most often overlooked.

Hello Tynan ~

A hearty welcome to Geckos Unlimited. I, too, am glad that you are totally researching cresteds BEFORE you take the leap. That is the most important thing that a person could ever do. Then you will be truly ready and any "surprises" will be far fewer.

Have you heard that crested geckos are prone to drop their tails if stressed and that their tails do NOT regenerate? Many other geckos can regrow lost tails! My male crestie George lost his tail in a one night stand with his girlfriend the very first night they were introduced. So then my friend gave him to me :).
