Female sikorae had this hanging from vent after laid 2 good eggs .she was down in the leaf litter shortly back on her perch but I noticed this hanging.Collected 2 good eggs and misted her with cool water. Not long after a short mist of cool water she bit it off and try to eat. Any thoughts. Here is part of it. I hope the best for her. She seems and acting 100% normal visually.Nothing hanging out anymore she took care of all that.

It doesn't appear this is a piece of her intestine and if so she would most likely have died since this. If you're saying this came out with out any bleeding etc I would guess it was an infertile egg that came out with the other two. :)

Cheers,

I can't imagine it's just an infertile egg...would have consisted more of yolky substance that that appears. Almost appears to be fatty tissue, but not quite. I would recommend putting it in water and keeping it in the fridge and having a vet examine the histology as soon as possible, but if it has dried, I don't know if the vet will be able to rehydrate it to make an accurate assessment.

Unfortunately I did toss it out right after this photo. There was no blood and she didn't seem to mind. It came off rather easy. She seems to be moving around normal and ate a cricket. It was a attached by a skinny piece of tissue of some sort. Looks like she stretched it and pulled it off if that makes any sense. I was quite relieved and nervous at the same time.I pulled it out of her mouth since I really didn't want her eating it as I have no idea what it was. Ill keep an eye on her.
Thanks for info guys. Jack

I really do need to find a regular vet that I can consult when things like this pop up, to even test it as you have suggested. As of now I don't.
