Color Morph??

What do you think this little crestie's color morph is?






Cant be comfortable lol. this pic is to give an idea of what s/he looks like normally any opinions are useful thanks

Looks like he may go harley as he gets older.
Cresteds develop their colors/patterns throughout their first year. So unless you know what the parents look like you can't be sure what the color may end up at.

But right now he's looking like a low harley, he may get more pattern as he gets older.
Cute little thing though. Is his enclosure working out better for him now?

yes it is he loves that spot right there by the plant best . those were the best i could get when he is really fired up kinda like the last pic you can really see his pattern its soo pretty like a bright orange and the color of chocalate! he loves his enclosure now that the plant is in there along with the hydro/thermometer more humid

I personally don't think he has enough pattern to be a harley; I'd consider him a flame with a few dal spots. IME the appearance of the parents is immaterial as offspring can vary widely in coloration, although some patterning traits seem to come through. crestie genetics are only really in the beginnings as far as I understand it, and very little in the way of dominant / recessive traits, etc. have been proven out at this point.

but yeah, he's WAY too young to know for sure what he's going to look like.

Okay I was on my kindle earlier, the photos were smaller so I coukdn't see as well.
I see what you're saying about the flame, he does look like that right now, though i saw the verrry faint pattern on his legs/midline and thought harley with that first photo.
But again it is too soon...

I also meant to add that there are also some hatchlings that look nothing like the parents. But I got lazy (I just woke up from a nap :blushing I fell asleep right after i posted lol.

eh, sorry to contradict...

it would also help if the pictures were sharper. most of the 'serious' crestie breeders I know will set the bar pretty high for calling a crestie a harley.

well i will get better picks he wasnt fired up that much. i just looked at the two types of cresties and i can see similarities of both of them in him. his back looks more harley but his sides look more flame

The difference between a harley and a flame is how much patterning is on the legs and most especially in the upper lateral area. Your gecko doesn't have much patterning at all on the legs or in the upper lateral area, so he's a flame.
