What kinds of plants does everyone use? I use pothos, ficus, and some draceana. Thought about using a species of palm. I noticed it in a viv in Mike Martin's caresheet on phants. Believe the species is called Areca (Chrysalidocarpus Lutescens). Need some more to make it dense in my vivs. All I find around here is small plants. I want get more but dont want to make it too dense cause of the ficus I have right now. Also, were do you get your plants? thanks. If you dont mind mention what species of uro you have in the tank the plant is in. Thanks.

Areca palms are Dypsis lutescens, and they can get 20 feet or so, though you normally see them as smaller house plants. They do well in a high humidity environment, the only problem is being palms you can't exactly trim them when they get too tall. Most of my gecko vivariums I've been using some of the smaller species of Alocasia, Syngoniums, some Philodendrons, and then various vines.

Small Asplenium ferns work well as soon as they are not exposed to direct light, bromeliads with non-cutting leaves are also a great choice, and Ficus pumila to cover the ground surfaces; just rinse off thoroughly any plant prior to putting it into your enclosure and remove the white small pegs, they are toxic
