New Mossies

I just picked up a 1.4 group from the importers today. A couple are pretty skinny, and they were rather dehydrated, so hoping they all come around. They already spent a few hours in a cool shower today, and seem to be plumping back up. 1.2 of them are pretty tiny, I'd say maybe 4-6 months, and I have those separated from the larger females in different quarantine bins.

Female 1 (tiny, about the size of a three month old)

Male 1 (another tiny guy, regenerated tail)

Female 2 (skinniest of the group, pretty worried about this one)

Nice sikorae, some good green markings on these.
I'd keep an eye on female 4 as well. My gut tells me that she looks fragile.
Keep us posted on how they all settle in!

Female 4 was actually the worst of the bunch when I got them. I was originally just going to pick up 3 girls, but I kept going back to her cage and looking at her. She was severely dehydrated to the point of her tail being a little stick, but very spunky, so I decided I couldn't leave her and to give her a go. She's looking much better since that shower, her tail almost completely uncurled, but like the others she's rather thin, you can see all of their hip bones.

Ok, maybe thats what I am picking up on then. Regardless of which ones look more fragile, I hope they all turn into healthy strong adults!

I just took them out of the shower and snapped some new pics (I'm sure you can tell it's cleaning day here lol). It hasn't been a week yet, but they seem to be plumping up a tad, hopefully that trend continues.

Same order as the first pics:

They do look like they have a little bit more meat on them now.
But if it hasn't even been a week yet, with WC sikorae, it might be good to try to avoid handling (and therefore stress) wherever possible?
Just my 2 cents.

I agree about the handling.

But they already seem to be doing much better. Good work .
Hope they continue to do well for you.

They've only been handled twice, the day we got them I gave them a couple hour long shower, and then yesterday I gave them about a half hour long shower. Figured I might as well snap some pics before I put them back in the bins.
