hi all ok 4 weeks ago my leopard gecko layed her 6th clutch of eggs and 1 didnt do well like the other 5 clutches but the one left from the 6th clutch is still plump, no mold, no denting and no smell and its 4 weeks old, there is a purple like dot but still showing yellow and no vains. Is it going to be ok or is it a dud thats doing very well.

My advice is to wait. They can take anywhere from 30-105 days to hatch. Unless there is mold or rot, I would wait. It'll go bad if it's not good.

cool thanks. i thought was bit weired as all the other eggs sank or went moldy withing few days but this one even tho no vains is still plump and good lol thought should be able to see vains clear as day like my other 2 .

Well that would depend on the age of the egg. They need to be at least 2 weeks old in order to candle them and get an accurate look. I have one now that is half pink and half yellow. I don't think it is going to hatch, but it hasn't gone bad, so I am leaving it alone. And I have 2 now that candled bright pink and gorgeous, started sweating-then nothing. I think they are now dead. But I am not bothering with them unless they mold over or stink. I have had this happen 2 years in a row. I'm starting to wonder if the genes from the parents aren't making healthy babies.

the egg is 4 weeks old . she layed another 2 between the 2nd and 7th may 1 is very dented but showing bit of pink at bottom were badly dented and showing yellow, yet the second was dented in places and has purked up and showing pink with vains . and thats only a week-2 week old and looks loverly

Oh yeah. you did say they were a month old. Who knows. It could be the hide box they were laid in wasn't moist enough. You may never know. Good luck with them!

I have had the following experiences (just to show that you never know till it either hatches or stinks):

--eggs that looked perfect for 9 weeks, then molded and when opened had no baby inside
--eggs that looked caved in and marginal for weeks and then hatched a healthy baby (this happened to me just 2 days ago).

Good luck.

Temperature will affect how long it takes, too. My leo eggs hatch at around 50-55 days, incubated at 84 degree F. And you just have to be patient!! Its hard, I know!! LoL!

heres a pic of the egg its on the right hand side, it also feels like its starting to sweat . is this normal for a 5 week 1 day old infertile egg.

I can't tell much just by looking at it. It doesn't look bad. I have had eggs sweat before that ended up bad. I think it's also a process for dying eggs. Not 100% sure on that though. Unless it molds over and gets dented, or smells like rot, I'd leave it. I have read they can hatch up to 105 days.
