Worried for Xena- gravid

I knew she would be fine.:biggrin: I guess she is one of the weird ones that will lay anywhere, like the ones that have laid in water dishes. "She's like what a relief!"

LOL Right? thank goodness, what was worrying is her not eating and taking longer inbetween clutches, god I hope this was the last one

Thanks! Im so relieved it is great to see her attacking her food like a mad woman!
Those 2 eggs shriveled up like old grapes. they aren't fertile either.
I candle lighted the one egg I had incubating for 40 days and there was no embryo there either and it was glowing yellow, I dissected it, which was pretty interesting but extremely gross, there was absolutely nothing in there.
Wow- 6 eggs and not one fertile. All that stress and effort for nothing! oh well. I guess Rex was shooting blanks. LOL

Ive got to clean her cage out today, dirt and calcium is all over - should have done that yesterday but figured she should rest up first. She is a messy girl lol

Checking under her belly daily, and it looks all clear. I think that was her last clutch. Thank goodness. She is gaining weight very nicely. I will post an update pic tonight so i can compare the pictures.
I keep forgetting to buy a scale. darnit, this weekend, I am going!! I wish they sold them at the pet store!

She looks great compared to before pic!

This was alarming to me, during pregnancy humans gain weight! during hers, she lost it??!

She gained weight rather quickly I see, good.

she really did! I think it was those butterworms. Ill definitely get those again. luckily i found a local source for them, WALMART!! In the fishing section- awesome!
