how to treat a cut on a tokay?

Hello GU, my BHG tokay ran into the heater today and got a cut... what is the best way to treat it. thank you in advance for your input

lolz... I'll wait a few days before I amputate her head!

or were you serious and think I may need to cut the flap off?

Thats what I thought, but thank you very much for the advice =)
it seems to be doing ok, all the red area is now black, as if it is scabbing up...
she did not eat any of her dubia last night though =(

She's likely stressed. She may not eat for a day or two. Don't stress he any more than needed. Try to just leave her alone as much as possible.

Tokay seem to have the best magic for healing. Like most Gekko that can regenerate a full tail, cuts and deep bites will heal very fast if the animal is not overly stressed. Scare tissue looks black.

I get imports in all the time that I photograph and describe any scares that they may have. After the next shed, the scar is usually hard to find. Even very big ones disappear completely in 90 to 120 days. It's unbelievable.

Thanks for the encouregement, she has been through a lot since I got her two months ago! but seems to be a fighter!!!
