Need help learning how to use this site..?

I'm sorry for my newbie-ness(just joined yesterday), but I'm still having problems figuring out how to post threads and where to post them? My first post wasn't in the right section, but I have no idea how to move it? Any help and advice is greatly appreciated!

Welcome to GU. Go to the section on the left called 'Site Menu' and click on "Forum". Scroll down to find the forum that seems to fit (so, for example, if you have a leopard gecko you'd go to the "leopard gecko" forum). If you're not sure where it fits, put it in "off topic". I don't think you can move a post yourself, but you can re-post in the proper section.
