As the tittle says can I house my williamsii in a screen cage, I've fallen in love with screens consept on my chameleons and started wondering could I do the same with my williamsii without misting systems or such

Please people with knowledge only respond, or possibly experience with williamsii in screens (off note I live in Finland so winters are dry, obviosly id misting twice a day)

Appreciate feedbacks

Unless you live in a tropical area or an area with constant humidity levels this will not be possible. L. williamsi need to have humidity levels between 60-80%, with the lowest number being towards the heat lamps. Since you are living in Finland this would not be an option as it is not one here in Germany as well. :(

glass is better for humidity like hexentanz stated. But even if you could replicate the higher humidity in a screened enclosure for your L.wiliamsi , my concern would be keeping feeders inside the cage. Im pretty sure Fruit Flies will be able to pass through the screen (i know they get out through teh top of my ExoTerra.)

I use to keep some L. williamsii in a screen cage but I had problems with them laying eggs along the door. I would not see the eggs, open the door, and the eggs would brake. They would lay on the flat aluminum edge of cage. Misting was done daily. The screen did work well for a trio here in FL indoors. I have now changed over to ZooMed terrariums which are working better long term.
