Here is a photo of my male Guimbeaui, a WC Hawaiian animal I have had for a little over a year.

And the pair, the female is an F1 Hawaiian animal.

They are in the cage on the left, there is a 3rd cage now for rearing their young.

I orginally got 2 from Hawaii, they came in as a pair and after deworming and feeding them out for 2 months the pair turned into what was 2 males. The biggest male killed the smaller one before I could get a 2nd screen cage set up....man was I bummed. I have a male Cepediana in the 2nd cage and will be getting a female for him this week. The cages are 16 x 16 x 30, they contain snake plant and a brom for holding water. They get sun until about 1 and then are in the shade the rest of the day. I let the young hatch out in the cage, putting the egg laden plants into an empty cage after the parents deposit several clutches on the plants.

Nice ones!

Is it easy to get Hawaiian guimbeauis in the U.S.? Allways thought their distribution on Maui is very restricted?
