I visited the Seychelles last week and was able to grab some photos of P. astriata and sundbergi. The astriata were extremely common and could be found on almost every palm tree on the island, whereas the sundbergi were seen less frequently. First 2 photos are sundbergi and the rest are astriata.

WOW that is awesome!!! How was the trip? See any other cool animals?

It was so epic. I was hoping to find some chameleons while I was there (Archaius tigris) but that never happened. The island I was on didn't seem to have the habitat suitable for them. Mahe (main island) and Silhouette supposedly have the biggest populations.

I saw some awesome tortoises while I was there too!!!

If you don't mind me asking, how much does a trip like this run? What about your travel routes too? (like where you had to fly to get to the island)

Do you have more pictures(other than of Phelsuma)?

Yeah I've got more pics. I'll upload some when I get to my laptop tomorrow.

Most of the flights to the Seychelles are via Dubai (which is where I currently am on summer holiday - I go to school in Canada). There are 2 flights daily from Dubai to the Seychelles. Luckly I went with my dad and sister so I didn't have to pay for anything  . Flights from here are about $1k. The real $ killer there however is the food price. Even with breakfast included at the hotel, we probably dropped 200 a day on meals and we ate conservatively!! Taxis are very expensive too. Ridiculous actually haha it was 50 euros for a 20 min taxi ride, return. Petrol is expensive there, so I guess that explains the exorbitant taxi fares.

We noticed that the main island, Mahe, is much more reasonably priced. Praslin was nice but if I were to ever go back, I would stay on Mahe. It is much bigger and there seems to be more things to do.

I'm sure there are ways to save cash but we didn't spend much time looking into that. I would derinely reccomend this place to anyone. The beaches, water and weather was unbelievable.
