Albino Eyes

Just a quick question pertaining to the delicate nature of Albino eyes
It is now cold in NJ I had to adjust their heat settings up and turn the red lamps back on, I am a little worried about the red lights and albino eyes.... has their been any sort of research on red lights being safe on their albino eyes?
I only use them when it is cold weather and to maintain accurate heat temps.

You can use red lights/moon bulbs but you should watch out for behavior such as squinting and hiding out more often.

Had the same problem! A ceramic heat emitter was suggested to me and it works great for my albino. She now loves laying on her cave soaking in heat without any eye irritation.

I have been watching them the past few days to see a change, Rex is resuming his normal shennigans traveling to all of his hides and also laying out under the lamp. Xena however is hanging out inside her warm cave only coming out for feeding time. And I noted that she wasnt showing good hunting skills and i had to assist her with prongs.. I wonder if this is due to her adjustment to the lamp being harsh to her eyes? what should I do?? she appears to be a different and lighter patterned albino strain then Rex.
