Leopard Gecko Sasha: Sleeping at night

She's getting very pretty, she finished shedding today.

I have a question, is it normal for her to lie down on the ground and just sleep during the night?

Pictures soon?

Normally a leo will seek the security of her hides to sleep. Is her warm hide in the best place? How about checking the ground temp of her warm hide? Could be too warm. Some leos prefer that hide to be about 88 F, and not 90-93 F.

It's not in the 90's I keep it at about 87 rarely 90

Hi,

She is sleeping in or out of the hide? What time do you feed her? Is she sleeping all day? Can you take a picture of the enclosure?

She sleeps all day, Sometimes she'll wake up and change to a different hide or she'll be awake inside of the moist hide for a while.

Sleeps in a hide, at night she'll walk around for a while and then stay inside one of her hides to sleep.

she usually stays in the warm side.

I usually feed her at around 5 or 6 in the after noon

Leo's sleeping at night

You did not specify location? Under the warm hide? Temp in the cool side? Air temp? If under her hide is her only warm spot, she will not be very active.

My Leo will nap outside of her hide usually in the middle of the warm side after a big feast. I think it's normal but im not 100% sure

Hi Bud,

Geckos normally prefer to sleep hidden where they feel secure. Usually when a gecko is sleeping outside of the hide it means they want to stay warm, but it's getting too hot underneath their warm hide. This OP mentioned their gecko sleeps inside which is normal. Make sure that it's not too hot under your gecko's hide. Feel free to continue on your own thread so that we won't head of topic.

I was watching her today, she does move through the cage, but the question is about her sleeping at night.

If she is active during the day and sleeps at night I must wonder if you are providing a photoperiod? At least a window which allows sunlight in the room?

Is it too cold in the enclosure at night to walk around? Without a picture and more info we will be guessing forever.
