I'm new here and thought I'd share some pics.

I just got these juveniles in last week. The female is a "hybrid" blue/crimson and the male is the super crimson red. I just put on the vinyl sheets today but I'm worried if the smell is going to effect my geckos. The female seems a bit off. She's staying on the ground now after I had put the vinyl sheets. My humidity was going really low and I had to do something. I'm planning on breeding this pair and the hatch-lings should come out 60-70% red. We'll see! Anyways I hope you enjoy the pics!

congratulations! I love crimson Grandis.

that wound looks kind of nasty; are they housed together?

I'm not sure if vinyl is a problem, but what about finding a cage that doesn't have screen walls? that might solve your problem, and be easier on the geckos' feet as well?

Thank you! Yeah the wound looks nasty but she's healing fast. They are housed together. The male kept chasing her around but now they're find. I'm going to get another set up really soon. I'm thinking of getting the Exo Terra High Glass Terrarium (36x18x36) when I get situated. I'm just worried about the female. She's not acting right after I have the vinyl up. I'll wait a day or so. IF she's still on the ground, I'm going to have to put her in a different smaller terrarium.

if you're worried about the vinyl, swap it with tin foil or saran wrap? neither off-gases anything toxic.

hmm, male geckos tend to be pretty randy. if you've put them together recently, maybe she's just exhausted from trying to get away from his carnal attentions?

That wound does not look like a bite wound more like a severe burning,do you have more lights inside the enclosure?I looked at your pics and I think that the TL tube caused the wound on the back!
What do you mean by:"hybrid" blue/crimson and the male is the super crimson red.....they look normal to me not exceptionaly more red then the normal grandis!

No it's bite mark. I only have one UVB light and the Exo Terra UV/Heat bulb. I only have bamboos and live plants in there. I don't see what else could've caused it.

They're definitely not regular. The breeder sold me a "Blueblood hybrid x banded phase Crimson Red which is the female. The male is the Ultra Crimson Red. You can see the female has some blue under the UVB. I don't know if you can tell but I'll try to take better pics. The male definitely have more red than the normal GDG. The normal GDG are almost all green. Thanks for looking! :)

I just took off the vinyl. I couldn't risk it. Now she's ok. I think I may have over fed her  The male and female are doing OK. He's not chasing her anymore. They were actually basking right next to each other.
