My fiancee and I bought 2 leos this weekend and I am just checking out any tips people want to offer. I find that many sites have diff opinions on caring for leos. They are caged separately. They have "hotspots" of 85-95° heated with an uth and a heat lamp(during the day). The cooler side is around 70-75°. We are feeding them crickets and mealworms(dusted with flukers). They are both active and eating well. They weigh 18 and 16.5 grams and are about 6 months old. Any tips? What is the best way to gutload crickets and mealworms?

Hello to you both ~

A hearty welcome to Geckos Unlimited!

Looks as if Cricket's got you covered.

BTW, what type of calcium is in Fluker's. A pure calcium carbonate is needed for a small bottlecap inside the tank 24/7.

We recommend Reptivite with D3/vitamin A acetate for dusting the prey 2x per week.

If you scroll through the posts following the care sheet, 23 posts now in all, you will find additional info on feeding crickets 24/7 :).
