:) Long time no chat, guys!

Kirk is six months old now, so I've upgraded him to a larger terrarium (20 gal long) with some pieces I've custom built for him.

The back and side walls are made of foam board with window insulation layers and anchored styrofoam shelves. They've been grouted, painted, and sealed in an attempt to mimic natural rock.

Natural slate tile has been used for flooring, with some other fossiliferous pieces of slate I've collected myself added to spice things up. The moss is natural and dye free. Any other plants (the succulents and grass) are plastic.

Kirk seems pretty happy with his new home, but I wanted to defer to your collective expertise. What would make this enclosure more natural and comfortable for him? Should I get him some ground-cover type plants? More branches to climb on?

Thanks for the help in advance, and if anyone is interested in how I've made any of these pieces, I have "in production" photos of some of the steps.

Your gecko is in a mansion! To me it looks pretty complete. Sometimes a cage that gets too "busy" looking can have diminishing returns. See where your gecko likes to hang out as it grows and it may lead you to adapt the cage.
If you have any interest in writing a step by step DIY article with pictures, Gecko Time would be interested. Send me an email at artport@rcn.com and I'll send you article guidelines.
