Any other uses for calci-sand? Cacti, maybe?

I purchased some glow in the dark calci-sand a while ago before I was educated on proper gecko husbandry... I'm wondering if I can find any other cool uses for it? Would succulents and cacti grow successfully in it, or no? Would the calcium offset the quality of growth for the plants? It would be pretty cool to have a glow in the dark cacti terrarium.

Is your Calcisand artificially colored? If it is, I would be careful with succulent and cacti. If not, give it a try, I don't think that will hurt! :)

If it is artificially-colored, I would just put it in a decorative bottle or jar, throw in some shells, add a tea light - and you have a pretty glow-in-the-dark decoration. :)

I put mine into a huge vase, and some long stemmed fake flowers. It works great as a weight to keep the vase from tipping over and to anchor the flowers, and it looks pretty in the day & at night. I was also considering using it in a craft project maybe, but nothing has come to mind just yet.
I too was fooled by the store into thinking it was a safe substrate.
