Hatchling arrive with a belly full of yoke. Then they eat their first shed.
It seems they will lick their parents droppings to establish their own GI track digestive system.
Then they will start on small crickets or roaches.:biggrin:
Yes, 4-5 months is fine. Especially for young males. If not, Dad will pull the young males tails off and eventually kill them. But before then, they are quite happy together.You can leave hatchlings in with their parents for around 5 months if I remember correctly.
Since you pulled the hatchling, place some of the adult droppings in the little ones enclosure. Reintroduce small prey items in the next week.

Mattias, yes, Michael is referring to excrement. It's for the purposes of building the gastrointestinal fauna of the hatchling. Glittery, I'm not sure about re-introducing the hatchling into the parent's enclosure, you may want to just leave him seperated.
