I've only had Howie [Approx 1 year old] one week but from what I can tell so far is he's quite mellow, OK with being handled [We've only taken him out to weigh him so far.], and not too skiddish. The last couple of days his colour has grown increasingly dusty and he has become quite skiddish. Thanks to reading this forum, I was anticipating a shed. So I've been paying special attention to keeping the moist hide moist and the humidity up. When I came home tonight, his belly looked fullish and I saw him eating what I though was a paper towel. I then clued in and realized he was just finishing up eating his shed. I gave his habitat a quick mist [not directly on him] and let him be.
Couple of questions:
1) I'm assuming he's not going to be needing any feeding for tonight at least, would that be about right? How soon after a shed should he get back to eating.
2) Do Leo's normally become more skiddish during a shed, or should I be concerned? He was notedly mellow, and quite curious for the first 5/6 days.
