First Time Uroplatus Keeper - Henkelii or Sikorae?

I have been looking around and chatting with a few people (Kevin from NorthStar) about keeping Uroplatus for the first time. Henkelii has been recommended as the best to start out with. I am curious about if the hardiness / robustness of Sikorae is comparable to Henkelii? Sikorae seems a bit easier to find and the colors are a bit more appealing to me. I'm curious as to your guys thoughts. Thanks.

I am not familiar with keeping henkelli, but I did try sikorae on a few occasions. My groups were fresh imports, and I had the usual difficulties associated with them (parasite load, dehydration, picky eaters). I ended up trading them to someone who was more knowledgeable and had more time to care for them properly (I was in and out of the hospital at the time). As long as you can keep the husbandry up, and the diet variety, I think they are fairly easy to keep... but then again, I did perfect my craft with chams as my first herp (and they thrived, despite any newb mistakes made). I think i you do enough research and talk to enough people, keeping a species that has made it into the pet trade can be fairly painless... I'm all about education before purchase, so good job I have heard they are tricky to breed though...

I have found sikorae the easiest of the two but definitely more delicate than henkeli. Guentheri are the all-round easiest uroplatus to keep, but seem to be much more scarce in North America. The main difficulty with henkeli is their size.

Uroplatus aff. henkeli are arguably just as hardy as Uroplatus henkeli, but smaller.
