I am looking to get into a new species. Oedura, Eurydactylodes, bavayia, strophurus, etc. I own 2.2 cresteds, 2.3 gargs, 0.2 cave gecko. I'm looking for a decently sized gecko species similar in care to the species I already own. Suggestions welcome, and input from anyone who cares for some of the species in looking into acquiring would be wonderful!
Thank You, Victor

I keep all of those species with the exception of Bavayia.
I will tell you that any aussie gecko is not comparable to geckos from NC. Strophurus share no common husbandry traits whatsoever with crested and gargoyle geckos. Oedura share a similar temperature need, but are much more difficult to breed.

Eurydactylodes and Bavayia come from the same islands as crested geckos and gargoyle geckos, which in turn means temperatures, care, and feeding are all nearly identical. IME, bavayia accept insets more readily. Both species are small, with the exception of one species of bavayia. E. Agricolae can be handled, but will readily attempt to get away.

I would stick with species from NC, unless you don't mind changing it up to care for the aussie species.
I would recommend E. agricola, B. Robousta, S. Williamsi, or O. Castelnaui as the best beginners for their respected species.

Bavayia and Eurydactylodes are amazing and really underrated. Their care is similar to ciliatus.
Bavayia are great to watch in bigger vivs, so you can really see their natural behavior.
Take a look at our Facebook page for pictures of our Bavayia and Eurydactylodes.

So I went off in a different direction and I have settled on a species I have had my eye on for a while Cyrtodactylus Elok. I have just posted a thread in that section of the forum. Thanks to the both of you for your comments and suggestions!
