Leo not interested in Superworms?

So, I like to try to get variety in my Leo's diet, but I don't really have very many non-mail-order options, so I bought about 10 Superworms from Petco a while back. However, my gecko will not eat them. She will eat meal worms if they move enough and crickets just fine, but she will not even try to catch the superworms. :yikes: I don't plan on getting them in the future as I have heard bad things about them, but I really don't want to just throw them out. Any suggestions on why she might be completely ignoring the superworms or how I can get her more interested in them??

I always say, they know best. If your gecko refused it, yet eats other insects, best to just get rid of them. Can you order other insects on line?

I could order online, the problem is that I only have one Leopard Gecko and all the sites that I have looked at, only have large quantities that I would mostly not be able to use up quickly enough.

(Trader Joe's gingersnaps, maybe, or Carr's ginger lemon creme-filled cookies?)

How about trying some hornworms? Order the very small ones. Leos love them and they are nutritious.

Using the ice pack and cooler method, you'll be able to keep an order of 25 alive for about one month. Just make certain they are packaged with enough food to last that month. Check out the Hornworm Guidelines in the leo forum about feeders :).

Perhaps some birds will enjoy your superworms?
