Crested Gecko and Moss

Hello!!

Just got a Crested Gecko, right now it's in his KK but I'd like to build a terrarium for him


I'd like to know… is it any good to have some moss in it?

I have used Oregon Tree Moss as well as Sphagnum Moss. both are fine, although the sphagnum seems a bit more likely to develop moldiness.

I do buy from reptile-specific sources. I have a friend with a ton growing in her yard, but it's rained on by cedar trees and not worth the risk.

I have moss across the front of my vivs and i see mine walking in it occassionally, esp when its hot out bc i keep the moss pretty moist.

Only use moss you bought specifically for reptiles, it's great for cresties cuz it keeps the humidity at a good level
