White spots on fimbriatus male's head

I have a pair of probably wc fimbriatus. I've posted about their "non-eating", but this morning, I noticed on the male, between his eyes there are white spots. I have a photo on my phone and will post that next.

Could these be abrasions? It doesn't seem likely since they're down between his eyes. What else could it be? They just appeared in the last day. I took them to the vet last week, and he didn't see anything of the sort on either one.

I have their humidity between 65% (afternoon) up to 75-80% (evening and night). Temps range from 70° (night) and 75° (afternoon). They're together in a cage that's just big enough for them without plants or hides. They have limbs to climb/hang. My larger cage is getting here today, so they'll be transplanted this evening.

Should I separate them? Will this stress them further?

Thanks for any help!

Ok, mystery solved. Pieces of shed. I had no idea he even had a shed. There's absolutely none in the cage and I didn't notice him looking flaky last night. Thank you Kevin!
