What is the safest and most effective cleaning solution to use when cleaning out a Leo's habitat?

I'm interested in this myself. I usually use bleach with cages (not woods or rocks) in between animals and soap/hot water if the stuff is going in with the same animals that were using it previously. But hubby had brought up using hydrogen peroxide. Didn't see this on the list of cleaning agents. He tried asking the vet, and the vet didn't say no, but he was trying to sell him on the stuff that was being sold at the clinic. He then asked a microbiologist (of which would know nothing about reptiles, so I'm unsure of how safe it is). The microbiologist said that H2O2 was a great product for disinfecting, though.

Just wondering if anyone here has any opinions on using H2O2.
