My female is about 7 months old and my male is about 6..Recently my female started nipping at my male at random times. I have a 40 gallon tank. I dont think its a space issue. Could it be her telling him to plant his seed? Lol Idk kinda worried about it, I dont want to separate them but I will if I have to. She doesnt do it all day everyday. Just couple times, If I see this I usually tap the glass and she will stop lol. I just dont want to be doing the wrong thing..They have plenty of hides to be in as well as a couple of those green things that suction on the glass..forgot wtf there called *Brain Fart* But yeah..Help lol

Hum...Romeo & Juliet. It has been awhile ;-). 7 mo and 6 mo are way too young to produce hatchlings. To be on the safe side I would separate them till they are old enough to successfully produce offspring.

I note from your signature that there is some question whether Juliet is a female. Are you sure now?

Thing is you can't be watching them 24/7. Do you know what "they" say about the cat?

There's nothing good that can come from a female nipping and biting at the male. You'll have to separate them. An alternative to putting them in different tanks, since you have a large tank, is to use a divider. As long as the divider can prevent the geckos from crossing over, and that you have under tank heating for both sides, you can successfully house them together in the same tank.
