want a false bottom and real plants with peatmoss substrate

I have no experience doing this but I want to remodel my cresties cage with peat moss and real plants and just try to improve on it. I have a 18x18x24 glass cage and right now it has reptile bark directly on the bottom. I just want to know how I go about doing the rocks and if I need a screen for the peat moss and any other things I should try or avoid.
Thanks,

Derek

This is a common tried and true method used by many people (I learned how to do it from blackjungle.com):
hydroton expanded clay balls (available from hydroponics stores) 2-3" deep as a bottom layer
vinyl mesh screen on top of that (get a vinyl mesh screen roll from a place like Home Depot)
coco fiber (as opposed to peat moss--I think it's a more cohesive substrate and less dusty) on top of that
if you like, some sphagnum moss on top of that.
