Male or female? Please help!!!

I have a 7 month old crested gecko who I think is a male (he has a bluge) but I can never find pores on any gecko, even males who have been sexed. I suck at finding them. I think my geck is old enough to tell his sex, I just can't.

Could somebody help please? (These were the best pix I got because he was so wiggly)

I can't see the photos well on the phone, but it looks like you may have a female. The loss of the tail makes it look like a wide bulge, but not the full bulge that occurs with hemipenes. Do you have a side view?

The size of the photo on the phone is small, so I can't make out any pores. The flat surface on each side of the vent leads me to believe it is a female. I will look around on other sites to find the photo in a larger format for clarity.

I'm not sure yet, my scale is in the male. He's about 3.5 inches long (no tail) and 7 months old. Here are two more pictures, a little better, that also show his bulge.

can you post a profile pic?
also, length is almost totally not useful :( sorry -
it looks a bit bulgy there, but it's hard to be definitive. also, maybe pores, maybe not.

eh, worst case, just wait for the gecko to mature and it will become obvious.

Photos are hard to get perfect for sexual determination. It kind of looks like pores, but some scales on the leg look like they have pores... is it the lighting or coloration on the gecko??? Im not sure. I took a bad cell pic of a tailless female for comparison. Looks bulgy because of the tail loss and it kinda looks like there may be a couple of pores, but this is a proven female. If I saw yours in person, it would be clear.

in the first set of pics I thought I saw pores, but the second set of pics I did not see any.
weight's a better determining factor of maturity than length/age. they tend to grow at different rates. I also have seen some rather small geckos develop pores, and some older ones drop on me unexpectedly...
