Fruit Smoothies

I know that I'm not the only one who spoils their geckos to some fresh mashed fruit for time to time. Sometimes it's hard for me to come up with new things to try with my babies. My 3 get fruit smoothies 2x a month, they all seem to love them.

We have tried a few different kinds of fruit:
strawberry and banana (their fav so far)
strawberry, banana, and plum
just strawberry (didn't go well)

This weekend I'm going to try peaches.

Tell me what you have tried and if your geckos have liked it.

Mine don't seem to like strawberry smoothie, but add some banana or mango and they'll gladly eat it.
Sweet cherry (the darker, the better) and passionfruit were hits too.
I'm convinced they'll eat just about anything if you add some banana to the mix.

What surprised me is that they liked pumpkin fairly well. Just for the fun of it, I gave them some canned pumpkin (not pie filling, just pure pumpkin), and they cleaned it up the first night. Now I'll add some to the smoothy once in a while.

Pumpkin!?! That's crazy. I would have never thought to try pumpkin. I give my dogs canned organic pumpkin from time to time. I'm going to have to try that!

I wouldn't have thought of pumpkin either, but like you, I give it to my dogs. Since it's fruit and a bit sweet, I thought the geckos would like it. My leachianus dives right in, the gargoyles like it, but a bit less than cresties and leachianus.

My crestie Sybil loves the mashed peaches I give him. Most of the time, I mix it with his CGD and he gobbles the whole cup. I don't use whole fruits though - I bought baby food and I add small spoonful of that to the CGD when I feed him :)

I put a dollap of baby food peaches in my crestie's food dish, then one small scoop of CGD and two small spoonfuls of water, then mix it all together. Sybil usually leaves it alone for a while, then will eat it up when the mixture is more gelatinous than liquid.
