Humidity in Sparty's cage spiked up to 55% today, and was wondering if ya'll had some tips on how to get humidity down.
Thanks!

Can you post a picture of the set-up?

Really quick, here are some things off the top of my head that can cuase high humidity.

1) water dish. especially if it has a large surface area of water.
2) Poor ventilation such as a glass or plastic container with holes in it rather than a screen top to provide ventilation.
3) Live plants
4) Absorbant substrate. (If you're using paper towel or carpet, consider tile.)
5) Wrong temperatures.

In my opinion, the best way to deal with humidity in a leopard gecko tank is not to worry about it. 55% is fine. It's likely that in the wild they spend a fair amount of time in rock crevices and in places where the micro climate has higher humidity than the humidity in the open. They'll be fine.

Thanks, I use tile, a small water bowl (radius is 2 inches), and there are no live plants in the enclosure. Also I have a screen top.
