Eclipse advice

Hi, I have a female that I plan to breed 2014 season, she will be 2 years old, she is a super giant. Does anyone have any advice on what kind of male morph I should consider. Or any advice on my collection. She is super giant eclipse with snake eyes. I love the snake eyes look also. Is it possible to breed these so that you get red snake eyes? I want to be careful before I buy my next male as I already have :
Male jungle bandit giant
Male high yellow giant
Female tremper albino jungle super giant
Female giant snow jungle bandit
Female bandit giant
and this eclipse female.
I love them all very much as they each have their own unique personality.

Thanks Kim

You get red eyes by combining eclipse with albino genes, be it tremper, bell, or rainwater albino. With tremper, it's called raptor. With bell it's called radar, and rainwater it's called typhoon. All these have red eyes, they can be solid red eyes or snake eyes. You can't breed for solid or snake eyes, as it's unpredictable how the offspring's eyes will turn out. Some offspring will have solid red eyes, others will have snake eyes.

So if you want to produce red eyes, get a male albino of some sort. You won't get red eyes with your first breeding season. But if you breed the offspring to each other, you could get red eyes in your 2nd breeding season. The key is to breed albino het eclipse, eclipse het albino, or wildtype het eclipse het albino together. When two genes are combined, you get a chance at red eyes.

Wow, thanks Mardy. I did not know any of this despite seeing all these morphs advertised on breeder websites. I need a Tremper albino male anyway to breed with Tremper albino female--I need to get a few extra shifts at my job for that. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!:D kim
