my young crested gecko is eating, but not pooping. I hand feed him cgd every other night, because i really don't know if he eats out of his dish while i sleep. I only found poop in his tank once, and i have had him for about 2 and a half weeks, is this ok?!

how old is the gecko?
how big is the gecko?
what is his cage setup? dimensions, decoration, hides, substrate, etc.
how are you measuring temperature?
any light or heat sources?

and...do you mist? if so how often and how heavily? deydration will cause problems like this.

does he seem distressed at all? if he's constipated or impacted, he won't feel good and you should see behavioral changes.

are you SURE he's not pooping in a corner somewhere in his cage? my geckos generally have a spot in their cage that they prefer to go in.

we really need more information, in great detail, to be able to help you.

can you post a good clear pic of the gecko, and also of his cage?

if you feel his tummy (gently!) do you feel any hard lumps or see any weird colors? and I mean obviously not-right colors or hardness?

here is some info about my gecko, he is about 6 months old, i mist him often and quite heavily, usually until the humidity is between 70% and 80%, if i have his heat fixture turned off, the humidity stays up, and i only mist him a few times a day. He has a 40w heat bulb for day time, and a red 60w light bulb for night, it is usually between 70 and 80 degrees in his tank. For hiding he has a small cave and lots of leaves, which he usually stays in. I haven't really seen any changes in behavior, he seems to act the same as usual. I really don't know if he is pooping in the corner because his tank has a moss and coconut fiber substrate mixture. so it generally looks like poop. and to make it even harder to find, he is small so his poop is small. I measure temperature and humidity by thermometer.

He's probably fine then.

It can be helpful with a new gecko to keep them in a critter keeper or other small cage on a paper towel substrate for at least a little while so you can make sure he's pooping and the poop is normal.
