i started out by feeding my gecko with a little spoon, and he would eat, then i would put a little on his mouth and put his dish in front of him, and he would eat out of it. But now, i just fill the dish and put it in, and i don't think he knows its there. do u guys have any recommendation on how i could get him to eat by himself.

hi -

so we need a little more information.

how old is your gecko? how long have you had him?

how often are you feeding? what are you feeding?

tell us about his cage, in detail. temps, decorations, size, hides, lights, etc. if you can attach a pic of the cage, and of the gecko, that would be the most helpful.

What size enclosure? What is the setup like in the tank? If you've only had them in the tank for less than a month it .at be hard to find the dish. Does he hide in a certain spot of the tank?

Have you noticed any new poop? As Little Critters stated, if he's pooping then he is eating. He may just be eating small amounts that aren't as noticeable to you. What is his temperament like? Is he acting like normal?
