Buying a tokay from reptmart.com

I know about these beautiful geckos how they are the pitbull's and the f*** you lizards lol I'm looking to buy one from reptmart.com cause they have a 20%off deal on all reptiles,the tokay is set at $14 but special deal for $11 plus $35 on shipping not a bad deal so I'm itching to buy it but I decided to ask you guys if it's worth buying from reptmart? I'm willing to get bit cause I'm a fool and I'm wanting to hand tame it without gloves XD I have patience. Thank you

Since you're already here on this site, why not spend a little more money for an animal that won't die within a couple of weeks after you get it. I know price is a little sticking point for some, but I'd rather spend the money and get a longer lived animal. People like Riverside Reptiles, Kita, and of course Michael (with the tokay hoard) all produce amazing animals. Try posting a Want To Buy (WTB) ad in the classifieds section of the site. Their selection will blow you away.

yup. I agree 100%. getting a "deal" on a Tokay like that is probably not a good idea. WC imports take enough work and time that you will spend at least as much getting the animal healthy as if you just bought a CB one in the first place.

I was also on the market for a tokay and found other reputable breeders selling captive bred for around $35-$50 for babies, and under $80 for adults. I don't know were you are located but Gecko Ranch, which is moving to North Carolina next month have some amazing breeding pairs and might have hatchlings available any time, look them up on facebook for up to date info. I ended up splurging and got myself an amazing 1 month old leachie from them.
