Tail eaten by crickets

Ok the local shop I get crickets from knows that I do research. They are not a chain. He has a white adult that about half his tail was eaten from crickets from a bad breeder. Its a good shop. He may give it to me to health back up. He said that he would rather give it to someone willing to take care of it then I die.
So is it more of keeping in confined as it heals up? Obviously, I think feeding worms and nutrients is best for a while to keep it calm.
Please let me know your thoughts on helping this guy out.

No, I haven't got it yet. It is like the top is left but the bottom is eaten about halfway.
