I caught a hatchling today ! It's clutchmate hatched 4 days ago and I found it dead two days later; I don't know what happened. This little guy seems vigorous, but I keep reading about how hard it is to keep them alive. He's in a glass enclosure with a screen top. A 5.0 UVB light is about 6 inches above and an incandescent lamp is aimed at the upper portion. The high temperature is 92F, ambient is 80, humidity 60%.
Is the temp/humidity appropriate?
Should I offer food right away or wait until the 1st shed?

Update: I offered dusted fruit flies and it tried to eat one but missed. I hope it nabbed one when I wasn't looking. Today I added woodlice gut loaded with CGD. It still looks robust so I'm feeling pretty positive. I'm off to shop for pinheads!
Update 2: I saw it eat several woodlice and a dusted pinhead. I didn't think it'd eat so much so soon.
Update 3: Still going strong. Fingers crossed.
