Have wild caught gecko checked out before introducing new female?

I am looking for a female to add to my viv with a fimbriatus male. The male is wild caught. I've had him for about 3.5 years. I've never had him checked out - he was the only one in the enclosure originally and he seemed very healthy. At this point, since he shows no sign of any issues, should I go through having a fecal sample examined before introducing a new female to him? I'm just curious if maybe there's something dormant in him that could be transferred to the female which might be potentially dangerous, or if at this point since he's been so well established if I should even put him through any kind of treatment. I always like to be diligent but the stress factor for these animals always makes me second guess.

Glad to see you're taking precautions, but I personally don't think any kind of checkup would be necessary. Three and a half years is a long time for something to be dormant in him. But do put the female through quarantine. Disease could go either direction.

But do await more feedback before definitive action.
