It got cold last night and im worried about my gecko when i picked him up he was really sluggish and cold to the touch so i sat him on my wrist to warm him up i got his cage warmed back up and he seems ok but is there anything i should worry about? He is a leopard gecko less than a year old, any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

When geckos get cold they get sluggish and slow down. If they get too cold for too long, they will eventually go into a coma and eventually die (that would happen if it were really cold). They need belly heat in the low 90's (floor temp) to digest their food properly. If they stay cold for a long time and don't get that belly heat, they won't eat well which could affect their health. Ideally you have an under tank heater (UTH) that's running 24/7. What made the tank get cold and is that going to happen regularly?
