Leopard Gecko LAID EGG!!!

Hi GU-- again!! So yesterday when I went to feed my leos.... there was something in the water dish. White, oval.... I froze.... an EGG. I checked them last month like I usually do (I check things like pregnancy, eye cleanliness... etc.) and I didn't see anything. I've had this problem of trying to get a new terrarium for my male... but I never seem to have money! I'm just a kid with (3) pet geckos trying to get them what they need! And I'm saying that because some people are rude and say that I should give my geckos away because "I can't do it right cause' i'm a kid." So please nothing like that in comments! Ok, back... Originally I thought the male was female, and kept them in the same cage. But I was wrong. Males are males and this one made one of the females pregnant! I am 95% sure which one. She was 2 years old, 65 grams and fed. The other female... her tail is REALLY fat (fatter than any of my geckos) but her body seems a bit skinny. Is this normal that apparently like all her fat goes to her tail?? Anyways, the egg... I checked in it in the dark with a flashlight, and nothing and I mean NOTHING was in that egg. Not even veins, nothing. It was very dented and still is. I left it in place, scared that anything would disturb it... then eventually I took it out, and it tilted and rolled over. That was bad, anything alive that was in there has probably drowned in the yolk. *I'm the kinda girl who remembers facts, you know!!* So... I put it back in. The female I though it was smelled it, and put her nose to it, but none of the others even bothered to take a look. I was totally unprepared... any help on how to make incubators or something? I really don't have the money, though... anyway, I need to keep the male away. Any tips!?! :yikes::yikes::yikes:

I'm sorry that you don't like to hear that you're a kid and shouldn't try to keep these if you can't do it right, but have you considered that people who say that might have a point, and might be acting in the best interests of your geckos?

also, as far as what to do about the caging:
watch for used caging. I see it all the time at thrift stores, yard sales, online ads like Craigslist.

second, as far as the eggs:
this forum has an entire subforum devoted specifically to breeding and incubation. these questions come up over and over as new people enter into breeding their geckos. please spend some time looking at what has already been written on this subject.

If you can't afford to house your male in a separate enclosure, how are you going to afford to house more babies? I would say that for the time being, you might just enjoy the geckos you have instead of trying to make more of them. That's not being "mean", that's being realistic.

But I'm not trying to breed them, I don't want anymore leopard geckos. I can make money really fast... but use it really fast too. I'll just save it. Ok... that solves it a bit more. Thanks for the advice, though. :)

But the things people write: "you're a kid you shouldn't have any geckos" and they get mad over the stupidest things over me: I do one thing they don't like, "you shouldn't have geckos! you cant do it right!" after doing one thing THEY don't like. I mean, come on people.
and THANK YOU helps with the caging!!

My most sincere advice is to toss the eggs, they will probably be more to come, you don´t need to give yurself a headache trying to make an incubator, and even more trouble if babies hatch, tossing them is perfectly acceptable, I would freeze them for a few hours and then toss them, just my most sincere opinion, in your best interest
