Deciding between two tokay enclosures

It looks like my thread got deleted?

Okay. So I've narrowed down two companies for my tokay gecko's next size up enclosure. I need a bit of help deciding between the two.

First up is this enclosure. I like that it's transparent so I can see Bean. I like that it's the exact perfect size for bean. I love that it's plastic, and it's cheap and they offer free shipping. I don't really like that it's DIY, but I can deal with that, I guess. It looks like there's a lot of bells and whistles that I'm a little concerned about. Lots of pieces that look like they could break off.

Second choice: one of these . I can't find one with the dimensions I want. The 24x24x36 is far too large for my current living situation, but none of the others seem to have the correct dimensions. I really like these enclosures because they have great reviews, I liked the material and they just seem really sturdy and nice. I also do like that they're opaque, because it'll make Bean feel safer.

H..help? Which would you choose?

I think the first is better. if you have adequate cover the clarity won't matter; just plant it nice and thick.

also, make sure the amount of heat a tokay needs is OK with the material?

the downside to plexi is that it scratches, and over time will become opaque.

I use the 2nd one with my large adult male tokay. He has a fair amount of room to roam, hang out, bask, hunt, do everything he wants to do.

Ingo, what would your ideal enclosure size be? I'm still stuck in a small apartment and Bean is still a juvenile. I would love to get something much larger for the future!

I consider 3 x 2 x 4 ft as a justifiable minimum but still would not personally keep an adult tokay in that.
An appropriate tank size IMHO would be like 4 x 2 x 5 ft and up.

Thanks so much, Ingo! That's something to work towards! My enclosures are always evolving and changing, and once I get a house I'd love to put Bean in something like that. I'll keep it in mind!
