P. Grandis bruising?? internal bleeding??

Someone please help, I've noticed these black/purple blotches on the side of my male giant day gecko and am very worried. Has anyone ever seen this before??

I would bet he's getting bit by a tank mate. I'd separate them as soon as possible.

Sorry for the late response, my best guess is that it was a burn from his basking bulb. It was the beginning of a big heat wave that came through and I should have lowered the wattage of his bulb because the room itself got pretty hot. It has since healed up quite nicely, I'll post some recent pictures soon.
