50 Day Growth Comparision

I thought I would share some 50 day growth photos of my two little leopard geckos that I got from PetSmart. The store could give me no information on their background (age, morph, sex, etc.) so I have been fascinated watching their patterns and coloration evolve as they grow. They have been great photo subjects as well!

These photos show Siren & Valor before on 4-7-14 and most recently on 5-26-14.

Thanks for sharing this! It's amazing how they grow up so fast isn't it?:grin: Reptiles. They're so photogenic! I need to learn to be as photogenic as my leo!

That's awesome I'm just curious. .. how many inches has she grown do you think?

I would say they were about 4 inches or so when I got them and are now about 6.5 inches. I really need to invest in a scale soon, but they have definitely put on some weight!

Here is another comparision photo with the first day I got them on 4-7-14 and today 6-2-14. You can see how dramatically the patterns change. In Siren's case the body has almost completely lost the bands and quite a bit of darker ornage has emerged on the tail. With Valor you can see the black bands turning grey and the solid patch on her head breaking up into stripes and spots.

To long time leopard gecko owners and breeders these changes may be ho-hum, but to a first time leo owner like myself they are facinating!

Thanks for sharing your photos I love to see growth rate photos. Helps get better idea of what hatchlings will grow up to look like in some cases. You have some very lovely geckos and good work with the camera skills my geckos be all over the place.
