Chahoua

So I have always believed that chahoua pairs form a bond just like the leachies and they fight when they don't "like" each other. All my pairs that stay together seem to do the best and regulate themselves according to the seasons. Now my newest pair that has been together for a few months now the male I believe is actually protecting the female. I have never had any problems with this male as far as aggression he was my gentle giant cause hes pretty big for a chewie and always had a great personality very calm, you can do anything with him. But on 2 separate occasions I went near the female and he bit me, and then the other day he actually ran across the tank and went to bite me when I was near the female.

Has anybody else ever notice this kind of behavior?

I saw it with a breeding trio of cresties. he absolutely had a different and more aggro personality when he was in with his ladies than he does on his own.
