Hello folks :)
Here is my crested gecko and his viv. Pretty sure he is a harlequin. He was born with a 2 defects which is a small right eye and a right paw that is half the size of his others. Previous owners said he was a year old.
I got him from a moving sale for $50 for him and everything around the corner from my apartment.

It was a great deal especially with all the plants and live moss that was in the viv.
He was stuffed into a horizontal viv full of plants. He barely had any room to move around and the plants were growing sideways.
I took the viv apart and made it into a vertical viv and now he has more space.
Here is a pic that shows the viv before it got converted

Here is some pics are of a feeding dish I made out of styrofoam

For my my lock/clasp i used the magnet off of a nametag from one of my 2 jobs I recently resigned from. They work great to keep the viv closed since they are really strong. Just an idea for vert builders instead of using those screen clips.

The door can be completely removed for cleaning and whatnot.

The light is a 5000k LED daylight dimmable bulb.
I like to have the dimming feature cause when it's on full power it is hard to get good pics and whatnot lol also because I found this lamp at Goodwill for only $4 and it had a dimmer lol.

There is a false bottom in the viv using plastic egg crate.
I have added some dwarf white iso and tropical and temperate springtails for cleanup. They are my janitors :p
The background is the cork tile background from Zoo Med.
Substrate is mostly bark and charcoal.

Going to post the plants in the next post due to it saying I have posted to many on this one.
I need help identifying some of them lol

Need some IDs on these plants please

Here is the biggest plant int he viv. It's growing a new one right beside it.
Possibly dieffenbachia of some sort?

This is some sort of viney like fern. When it sprouts the leaves they unroll like a pinwheel

There was 3 of these in the viv and I have moved 2 in my other vivarium. The leaves remind me of a nepenthes picture plant I once had.

Here is a vine type of plant on the moss covered stump

Did you process the plants correctly before planting them inside your enclosure? New England Herpetoculture LLC - Gecko Appropriate Plants take a look here, this will help you identify the plants.

That fern looks like the run of the mill ferns I have here in CT, that pinwheel you describe is a fiddlehead and can be eaten in the rolled up stage, well the ones here can be anyways.

I got the vivarium, and the plants and everything from a guy at a moving sale. They've all been in there for a year so I don't think anythings gonna matter now xD

I also don't know how sturdy those plants are for a crested. I know you say they've been in the tank for about a year but just make sure they can handle the weight and the roughness that cresteds are known for. If you notice he isn't climbing on them or sleeping in them I would seriously look into more hardy plants like snake plants, pepperomias and pothos. Here are some pics of my set ups with the plants I mentioned.

Yeah he is sleeping in them well.
They are very sturdy plants. Especially with how I have the vines bunched together they support each other well. Even when the viv was horizontal and the plants were growing sideways he would sleep up in that plant(first 2 pics).
Now he hides behind them and behind the back piece of wood but he sleeps in the one plant at times (last pic).

This should prove how sturdy the one fern vine plant is because he is hanging from it from one paw sleeping lol

These plants are pretty hardy.
