Possible impacted leo

Hey I posted about my gecko yesterday. I still think he is just bloated from too much food. However last night when he went to the bathroom it was just the urates not feces. This is worrying me. He pooped the night before but I'm thinking he is blocked up now. I am soaking him in a warm bath again and I bought some olive oil to put on his nose. Is there anything else I can do for him? He is still acting normal and his belly is clear, no dark spots. I spoke to a vet today and she insisted he must have swallowed something else and that his condition will worsen. There is nothing else he could have ingested and I always watch him eat. Please help.

Worried mommy.

Greetings again

Other then luke warm water baths and then slowly massaging the gecko. And drops of olive oil on his nose (1-2 drops max, more is not better) .. don't think there is more you can do. Excessive handling/baths can stress the poor gecko out as well, so I would limit them. I would double check your warm side temps and make sure they are 88-93.. I would not feed the gecko for a day or two.. and if he doesn't poop in the next couple days a vet visit is your best bet. Also what is your substrate?

Edit: Pics of your enclosure and gecko would help, picture of his underside would help as well.

Hello ~

What are you feeding your leo? Mealworm chitin can also cause impaction. :-(

Make sure the soaking water is no warmer than 86*F, a leopard gecko's preferred body temperature. :)

He has a heat mat and a heat lamp. His Temps are 90-92 on warm and 80 on cool. He eats meal worms and crickets. I added attachment pictures

Greetings your UTH needs to be on the bottom of the tank. Leopard geckos use belly heat for proper digestion. Seems that was the only problem here, the UTH.

Haha its okay. no its my lamp stand. But I have a pad below the wooden hide and a heat lamp above it. How does his stomach look? It looks okay to me, just fat.

His stomach looks fine just big that he is growing.. I'm sure he is fine..give him a few days.. don't handle or pick him up.. if he still doesn't poop within the next few days, then a vet visit is necessary.
